Ultra-luxury hotel group Aman to open new property in Singapore
The ultra luxury hotel group Aman widely acclaimed as the best luxury resort brand in the world, has confirmed its entry into Singapore’s ultra-luxury hospitality and branded residences sectors with a property at The Skywaters, a mixed-use development currently under construction at the former AXA Tower site on Shenton Way.
The Skywaters will rise 305 meters across 63 stories, claiming the title of Singapore’s tallest building upon completion.
Developed by Perennial Holdings, the integrated project combines Grade A office space and retail with the Aman components. The building’s design comes from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the Chicago-based firm known for high-rise developments globally.

A limited collection of branded residences will be available for purchase, with pricing yet to be announced. Aman Singapore, seamlessly integrates private homes with Aman’s signature resort and club experiences.

Kerry Hill Architects, responsible for multiple Aman properties including recent projects in Japan and China, will handle interior design. The firm’s approach for Singapore will reference the island’s Black and White bungalows, colonial-era structures characterised by high ceilings, natural ventilation, and material restraint.
Vlad Doronin, Aman’s CEO and chairman, framed the Singapore entry as a response to client demand and strategic network positioning. The city’s location serves as a connection point for the brand’s 24 Asian properties, which span from Bhutan to the Philippines.
Singapore’s Changi Airport handles over 65 million annual passengers, providing direct access to regional destinations where Aman operates resorts and residences in secondary markets.
This marks Aman’s first project in Singapore. Singapore was chosen as the next city for expansion due to its balance of urban dynamism and nature. “Singapore is one of the world’s most dynamic cities, yet it is also known as a garden city where nature is part of every day. That balance reflects Aman’s past and present – creating sanctuaries of peace immersed in nature, whether it be in rural landscapes or vibrant global cities,” said Doronin.
The Skywaters

Rising to 63 storeys, The Skywaters sets a new benchmark for sustainable development. It aims to minimise embodied and operational carbon by repurposing 100% of the existing foundation and parts of the existing structure.
Sustainable building materials, certified by the Singapore Green Building Council, will be incorporated where available.
Design considerations include optimising the building’s orientation to harness prevailing winds and natural light while integrating sun-shading fins to reduce heat gain. In recognition of its sustainability effort, The Skywaters was awarded the BCA Green Mark Award Platinum in 2022.
The development is situated at the intersection of of Singapore’s Central Business District, the Marina Bay financial and tourism precinct, and the Greater Southern Waterfront, a 1,000-hectare development zone that will transform the city’s southern coastline over the next 30 years.
This location provides immediate access to Singapore’s commercial core while maintaining proximity to future development that will reshape the city’s southern districts.
