Hyatt Hotels Corporation have announced plans for Andaz Heber Valley, which will mark the debut of the first-ever mountain Andaz hotel and the brand’s entry into Utah’s Heber Valley, an area celebrated for its natural integrity, outdoor adventure and year-round appeal.

Developed by Angstrom Development Group, this project will be situated within The Slope, a larger lifestyle mixed-use community masterplan.

Cradled between rugged peaks and green meadows, Andaz Heber Valley will introduce a refined approach to mountain hospitality, one that prioritizes design and wellbeing from a global perspective over familiar alpine clichés.

The hotel will feature 85 guest rooms, alongside a collection of private residences comprised of 62 condominiums and 140 villas, that will have their own amenities along with special privileges at the hotel. The residences will be introduced separately for purchase at a future date.

While the Andaz hotel draws inspiration from mountains and wellness destinations across the globe, from Japan to the Dolomites, the property’s architecture and interiors emphasize local craftsmanship, materiality, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

“Heber Valley embodies the spirit of the American West in a perfectly understated way,” said Amar Lalvani, President and Creative Director of The Lifestyle Group, Hyatt. “In keeping with the Andaz brand the hotel will be firmly rooted in that spirit while bringing a global sensibility inspired by our travels to places like the Dolomites and Niseko which have very special traditions we have fallen for. We look forward to sharing the first alpine Andaz hotel with guests from around the world as well as the local community.”

Located steps from the Provo River, five minutes from Deer Valley’s East Village and 45-minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, the hotel will offer access to the region’s celebrated ski slopes and outdoor activities while remaining rooted in Heber Valley’s rugged charm.

From fresh powder skiing and backcountry exploration to hiking and cycling, Andaz Heber Valley is designed as a true four-season destination.

The hotel’s signature restaurant will advance a mountain-to-table culinary philosophy, emphasising local ingredients, sustainable sourcing and hyper seasonal menus that reflect the rhythms and produce of Heber Valley.

“From the beginning, our vision for The Slope was to create a true mountain village- one that feels alive year-round and is deeply connected to its setting,” said Neil Goldman, Managing Partner at Angstrom Development Group. “Collaborating with Hyatt allows us to introduce a new kind of alpine hospitality to Heber Valley, one that is design-forward, wellness-driven, and rooted in a strong sense of place. Andaz Heber Valley will bring a global perspective while honoring the character of this valley, and it will play a central role in shaping The Slope as a destination where families, travelers, and the local community can gather, explore, and return to for generations.”
