Armani Residences Marbella Brings Iconic Italian Design to the Golden Mile

The Armani Group, Playa Assets and Sierra Blanca Estates announce Armani Residences Marbella

Few stretches of European coastline have attracted the concentration of fashion and design led branded residential development that Marbella’s Golden Mile has seen in recent years. The announcement of Armani Residences Marbella, the Italian brand’s first residential project in Spain, is the latest and most compelling evidence of that.

The Armani Group, Sierra Blanca Estates, and Palya Assets (owned by entrepreneur and hotelier Abel Matutes and Rafael Nadal) made the joint announcement in Milan on May 11, confirming the Italian design brand’s first branded residences project in Spain.

Thirty-three design inspired branded residences will rise on one of the last privately held estates on the Golden Mile, the storied coastal stretch connecting Marbella to Puerto Banús. The 50,000 square metre plot offers unobstructed Mediterranean views toward the Sierra Blanca mountains.

The residences, ranging from 250 to 800 square metres, will be fully designed and furnished by Armani/Casa. Owners will enjoy a full suite of amenities and lifestyle comforts including a full spa, gym, private club, and 24-hour concierge service.

The interiors and lifestyle at Armani Residences Marbella will reflect the studio’s characteristic sober elegance, with a living environment conceived around exclusivity, serenity, healthy routines, family life, sporting values and a genuine culture of well-being rather than being purely decorative.

An initial exclusive launch phase will release just 10 residences for sale. Permits are now approved and construction is scheduled to begin in June 2026, with completion expected in 2028.

Sierra Blanca Estates – A Branded Residences Powerhouse

Sierra Blanca Estates brings significant credibility to the project. The family-run developer has been active on the Costa del Sol since the mid-1980s and boasts one of the strongest track records of fashion-house branded real estate collaborations in European residential real estate.

The company launched Epic Marbella with Fendi Casa in 2020, as one of the first non-hospitality branded residential projects on the European Mediterranean coast, followed by the world’s first Karl Lagerfeld residential project and Design Hills, a 70-unit Dolce & Gabbana inspired development on the Golden Mile.

This project is not just another one for us. Armani is one of the world’s leading brands, with decades of experience in the residential sector and a consolidated presence in some of the world’s major capitals. Its arrival in Marbella, in partnership with Sierra Blanca, marks a turning point for the city. For us, it is a true privilege to be part of this project, and doing so alongside the Nadal and Matutes families makes it even more special.” Carlos Rodríguez, CEO of Sierra Blanca Estates

Palya Assets

Palya Assets, the investment vehicle of entrepreneur and hotelier Abel Matutes and Rafael Nadal, brings two distinct but complementary perspectives to the project. Nadal’s connection with Armani dates to 2011, when he fronted Emporio Armani Underwear and Jeans campaigns, but his involvement here is of an entirely different nature.

He has described Armani Residences Marbella as carrying genuine personal significance, built around well-being, sporting values, and a Mediterranean way of living he considers authentically his own.

Matutes, whose family has long been synonymous with high-end hospitality and resort development across Spain, positions the partnership as a natural alignment of real estate expertise, design heritage, and a lifestyle offering that goes beyond the transactional

“This project holds a very special meaning for me, especially because of the opportunity to collaborate once again with the Armani Group, a brand I deeply admire and with which I had the chance to work at the beginning of my professional career,” Rafa Nadal

Armani/Casa

Armani/Casa brings a design philosophy rooted in balance, harmony, and authenticity. Since its founding in 2003, the studio has delivered residential projects in Istanbul, Manila, Miami, London, Tel Aviv, Mumbai, Dubai, and São Paulo. Spain marks new territory, and the timing is deliberate. Armani/Casa reported double-digit sales growth in 2025, and a new joint venture with Mohamed Alabbar’s Symphony Global is targeting additional Armani Hotels and branded residences across key international markets.
