IHIF Asia 2026 takes place from 16 to 18 September at the Regent Hong Kong, bringing together investors, hotel groups, developers, owners, operators, lenders and advisors for three days focused on hospitality investment across Asia Pacific.
The programme covers capital markets, investment, development, asset performance and the changing nature of hospitality assets across the region.
The event’s theme for 2026 is “Resilient Growth. Real Returns.” The programme reflects a market where domestic hospitality consumption has returned to peak levels and regional travel is recovering, while investors continue to navigate geopolitical uncertainty, changing capital structures and pressure on asset performance.
What to Expect at IHIF Asia
The main three-day IHIF Asia programme has a strong investment focus. Sessions will examine capital deployment, repricing, private credit, family offices, cross-border investment and deal structuring, alongside the performance and optimisation of existing hospitality assets.
The wider market outlook is also a major theme. Discussions will look at geopolitical change, shifting tourism flows and destination competitiveness, as well as the investment outlook for different parts of Asia Pacific. Japan, Greater China, Southeast Asia and other emerging markets feature across the programme, with a particular focus on where capital is moving and where new opportunities are emerging.
The programme also looks beyond traditional hotel investment. Adaptive reuse, placemaking, construction cost management and alternative hospitality formats feature alongside more conventional development and investment discussions.
Serviced apartments, wellness-led resorts and integrated lifestyle concepts are among the emerging asset types that will also be examined. Technology will also be part of the conversation, with sessions examining the role of AI and how technology and human decision-making are affecting hospitality performance.
Branded Residences at IHIF Asia
Branded residences have their own dedicated programme within IHIF Asia through BxR Asia, which takes place as a full-day track on Friday 18 September.
BxR Asia will focus specifically on branded residences as an investment and development asset class. Sessions will examine how projects are structured, financed, branded, sold and operated, bringing together developers, investors, hotel brands and advisors active in the sector.
Speakers include senior representatives from Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Accor One Living, Global Branded Residences, YOO Group, CBRE, Swire Hotels and Capstone Asset.
BxR Asia is the first Asian edition of the programme, following editions in New York and Berlin. We previously covered the announcement of BxR Asia and its arrival in Hong Kong in Brand x Residential (BxR): From New York to Hong Kong.
The inclusion of a dedicated branded residences programme within another major hospitality investment conference places the sector alongside wider conversations around capital, development, asset performance and emerging hospitality models, rather than treating branded residences as a separate niche within the market.
Networking and Investment
Alongside the conference programme, IHIF Asia is designed around networking and deal-making. The event brings together investors, owners, developers, operators, hotel brands and advisors, with dedicated investor facilities, networking sessions and opportunities for direct access to senior decision-makers.
For attendees, the three-day programme provides a broad view of the forces shaping hospitality investment across Asia Pacific, from capital markets and asset performance to new destinations and emerging asset classes.
