Since opening in 2010, the building has become one of the city’s most recognizsable landmarks, standing directly across from the Vancouver Convention Centre and within walking distance of Stanley Park, Canada Place, and Gastown.

Above the hotel sit the Fairmont Pacific Rim Residences, a collection of privately owned apartments occupying floors of 23 – 47 that offer sweeping views of Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, the North Shore mountains, and the downtown skyline depending on orientation.

Owners enter their homes through a separate private residential lobby with its own 24/7 concierge and security team giving them exclusivity and separation from hotel guests. However residents can enjoy the hotel’s services whenever they like, including in-room dining, housekeeping, valet parking, and butler service. They also share access to the rooftop pool, hot tub, and private cabanas.

Amenities & Services

Although the residences have their own entrance, lobby, security and concierge, both the hotel and the residences draw on the same shared amenities, which is a large part of the building’s appeal.

The rooftop level holds a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and a handful of private cabanas, open year round with poolside service running through the warmer months. Below that sits an 11,000 square foot spa and a 4,000 square foot fitness centre.

Dining options include The Lobby Lounge and RawBar, known for sushi, cocktails, and live music in the evenings, Giovane for Italian food and coffee through the day, and Botanist, a restaurant and bar built around a farm to table approach with its own terrace garden. Room service runs around the clock.

The building also carries an ongoing art program, with rotating exhibitions displayed across the first two floors in partnership with a local gallery. For getting around the city, guests and residents alike can call on the hotel’s complimentary car service, which includes an electric vehicle in its fleet.
